“As a self-proclaimed ‘Dingell Democrat,’ Michael Hacker has studied the Hill under the master — Rep. John Dingell of Michigan, the dean of the House and one of the Hill’s last ‘old bulls.’ Hacker is taking this wealth of knowledge to the Quinn Gillespie lobby shop, where he will do strategic and crisis communications. Hacker said the primary lesson he’s learned from Dingell is the value of bipartisanship and working out from the center rather than in from the wings.”

“Every year, the holiday shindig at megawatt consulting firm Quinn Gillespie & Associates gets bigger and bigger, according to Managing Director Rick Powell. The four-year-old firm’s annual bash is popular for its networking potential and endless parade of sushi boats. Political luminaries from both parties included name partners Jack Quinn, a Clinton administration vet, and Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie; White House legislative affairs chief David Hobbs; Democratic diva Debbie Dingell; and former Bush spokesman Ari Fleischer, who shares space with the firm. But the hit of the night was the party’s youngest Republican, month-old Marc Lampkin Jr., son of Marc Lampkin, a GOP lobbyist for Quinn Gillespie. The sprawling buffet, however, was a close second. About 600 revelers packed the firm’s offices to stuff themselves on sushi and other fare, while Christmas specials played on the firm’s plasma TV.”
Puerto Rico Herald, October 2003
“A number of congressional staffers familiar with the Medicare Puerto Rico impasse on the Hill give high marks to the firms and individuals in Washington representing the Puerto Rico Hospital Association (PRHA) and the municipalities of San Juan, Bayamon, and Guaynabo. Among them are Juan Carlos Iturregui and Manuel Ortiz of Quinn Gillespie.”

“Stand Up for Steel, which is co-chaired by U.S. Steel and the United Steelworkers of America, also boasts an impressive lobbying corps that’s heavy on GOP talent, including David Hoppe of Quinn Gillespie & Associates.”
