Manley: “Something is happening here, what it is ain’t exactly clear.”

QGA Senior Director Jim Manley: As the 60’s era Buffalo Springfield once sang, “something is happening here, what it is ain’t exactly clear.”  I may be a tad late to this, but for what it’s worth (which is actually the name of the Buffalo Springfield song) my advice to Democratic members of the House and Senate is that ignoring the Occupy Wall Street movement may result in political peril.

I happened to watch a bit of the nightly news Saturday night before running out the door for an early dinner. And what I saw was amazing.  A series of demonstrations around the world similar to what we’re seeing in our own country.  There is just no denying anymore that there is an increasing feeling of utter helplessness, as rising economic concerns drive more and more people to the brink, not only in this country but around the globe as well. Politicians better figure it out- and quick. If not they are going to be added to the unemployment rolls when they are bounced out of office next year.
